Over the years Neal has worked as a commercial diver, treasure salver, stunt coordinator for the movie and TV industry, owned and operated hotels, a airline charter company and established a chain of Neal Watson’s Undersea Adventures franchise dive operation in the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Neal’s achievements are legendary. Neal currently holds several Guinness World Records, including the compressed air diving depth record where he descended to 437 feet. He recorded another milestone by swimming 66 miles underwater non-stop without surfacing in 19 ½ hours from the Florida Keys to Miami.
Neal has worked in numerous major motion pictures, and appeared in television shows including 20/20, Inside Edition and The Today Show. Neal has also been featured in countless magazine and newspaper articles including People Magazine and Outside Magazine for his world records and exploits in shark diving. For 13 years Neal annually produced Ocean Fest, the only seaside consumer dive show in the United States.
Neal has worked with numerous celebrities and taught Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York to dive and hand feed sharks for an ABC Special with Neal’s longtime friend, Jean-Michel Cousteau.
In November 2004 Neal was inducted into the “Fort Lauderdale Sports Hall of Fame” along with three time Super Bowl Champion and Football “Hall of Fame Recipient” Michael Irvin. In 2005 Neal was inducted into the DEMA “Diving Hall of Fame”.
For the Past 15 years Neal has served as President of the Bahamas Diving Association and recently finished his third term as a DEMA Board of Director.
